Our instrument and electrical maintenance provisions vary from full time on-site support, to periodic scheduled shutdowns.

Often as a supplement to our clients’ own maintenance staff, our technicians comfortably cater for distribution.

This can range from site mains transformers, through switchgear and motor control, to sub-distribution.

Aughton engineers cover all aspects of instrumentation from field devices for pressure and temperature, to flow and analytics, as well as control valves. We also go back through to control systems, PLC, DCS, SCADA, and interface with MCC.

Additionally, Aughton provide miscellaneous electrical, instrumental, or combined support on a term basis.

We carry out this maintenance on a schedule of rates, lump sum, reimbursable, and other forms of agreement. Furthermore, we measure the rates by quantity of surveillance,

All contracts are subject to key performance indicators, which are measured and reviewed with the customer.

Our current term-maintenance contracts also have dedicated safety representatives. Because of this, our safety record in these onerous site situations is one to be proud of!

The following job roles identify just some of the typical staff members engaged in the contract. It is always expected that these personnel will have certain abilities, and therefore perform a broad range of activities. Such staff include:

  • Electrical Technicians
  • Approved Electricians
  • Data Logger Technicians
  • Instrument Technicians
  • Instrument Pipefitters
  • Craft Assistants

We additionally require our operatives to possess a number of competencies. These include: SCO 1 & 2, Compex EX01, EX02, EX03, EX04. TEM 2, 3, and 4. C&G 2394/2395. C&G 2382-12/BS7671 current Edition. SHEA.
